LifeCell Review - Smoothened Wrinkles

by Ron King

A unique skin care product making some lofty claims has recently been introduced to the cosmetic market. South Beach Skincare retails LifeCell Skin Cream, and has had trouble meeting demand for this item, in spite its premium price. In this LifeCell review, we'll focus on the anti-wrinkle promises.

LifeCell Skin Cream is a unique cosmetic product sold by South Beach SkinCare. They are making some very lofty claims about this pricey new entrant into a highly competitive arena, but the public seems to be sold, literally, as the company has had trouble meeting demand. We'll focus on the anti-wrinkle promises of this skin cream in Part 1 of our LifeCell Review.

Among its claims, LifeCell Skin Cream declares it can address wrinkles by:

* Rendering wrinkles immediately imperceptible

* Supplanting the requirement for botox injections

* needless production of collagen

* Plumping lips

Can a skin cream, even a costly one, really help you say good-bye to unsightly lines and wrinkles?

As it turns out, the human eye cannot see the actual wrinkle. What the eye sees is in truth the shadow made by the wrinkle. LifeCell Skin Cream counters this with billions of three-dimensional nanoprisms called "fractionated silicon dioxide". Since all those billions of minute 3D nanoprisms refract light, shadows can indeed be greatly reduced. The silicon dioxide is invisible, but it adheres to the face until removed by washing. We do note that the effect works for shallow lines and wrinkles only.

For added significant reduction in the appearance of wrinkles, LifeCell Skin Cream relies on Acetyl Hexapeptide-3 (AH3) to do the job, and its job is to work as a natural botox, without the needle. AH3 is indeed an active isolate that goes to work nearly immediately when applied to the skin, and is supposed to take effect by relaxing facial muscles. Botox does the same thing, but in a much more invasive form. Botox is in reality a toxin that is injected, resulting in paralysis of facial muscles. The effect does diminish the appearance of wrinkles, but is temporary and injections will have to be repeated as needed to keep the look. According to researchers, anecdotal evidence suggests that AH3 has a similar mechanism of action as Botox; however, the AH3 in LifeCell Skin Cream does not involve toxins, paralysis, or side effects caused by leaked serum, all of which are connected with botox injections.

Collagen is produced by the body, but falling production in later years contributes to lines, wrinkles, and unsightly "crow's feet". The makers of LifeCell Skin Cream have designed the product to help stimulate natural production of collagen. Wrinkles appear pushed up and out as though plumped from within, allowing those wrinkles to look smoothened out and lifted away.

This also means that lips will appear fuller; fine lines around the mouth look smoothened and lip "bleed" is prevented. Again, some women resort to injections to increase the collagen in the lips to get that "pouty", provocative look. With increased manufacture of natural collagen, these exorbitant injections become needless.

Our LifeCell Review does find support for the skin cream's anti-wrinkle claims. LifeCell Skin Cream makes many more promises as well, which we will investigate in following articles.

Wrinkles and Liver spots are signs of aging, mature skin

by Dr. D. T. Siegenhaler

Introduction

The natural aging process produces visible effects on our skin. Increased dryness, wrinkles, liver spots and other growths begin to appear, and cuts and bruises heal more slowly. These are some of the signs that indicate chronological aging is taking place.

Most of these changes are a natural progression of aging, however, some changes in the skin such as growths may need to be more closely investigated to rule out pathological changes such as skin cancer. Nevertheless, most changes in the skin are natural and do not pose any health risks.

Wrinkles

Gravity is the skin's worst enemy. Weakening of collagen and elastin fibres causes reduced firmness of the skin, gravity pulls at the skin and causes it to sag, this in combination with a reduction in the fatty padding of the skin inevitably causes wrinkling of the skin tissue.

Can Wrinkles Be Avoided?

Environmental factors such as over exposure to the sun, smog, cigarette smoke can all have an adverse effect on your skin. In addition, you may also have inherited weaknesses from your parents that can cause premature aging of the skin.

Despite these challenges, there are simple steps you can take to prevent wrinkles and remember - the earlier you start, the better!

* Wear Sunscreen,
* Always wear a hat with a wide brim when going outside - remember, just because there's clouds does not mean there's no UV,
* Don't sunbathe, and
* Where possible, stay out of the sun between 10am to 3pm.

As we progress through our 30's, 40's, 50's and beyond, our skin requires an appropriate skin care regime to maintain, as well as repair, the skin. The older you are when you start to protect and care for your skin, the less effective it will be, however, it is never too late to start.

Treatments for Aging Skin

There are a multitude of drugs, chemicals and procedures on the market these days, promising you that you can have the face of a baby in your 90's. We all know where to put that... However, there are many natural and totally safe methods of treating aging skin and preventing premature signs of aging - and I'm not just referring to your facial skin, although this is the most visible and therefore the most important to many people.

Using a natural skin care regime should apply to your entire body and not just to your face. Regularly use a clay mask to nourish your skin and remove impurities, cleanse your skin, tone it and last but not least moisturise, moisturise, moisturise.

Do not use commercially available soaps unless absolutely necessary - these soaps remove the protective acid mantle of your skin and dry it out. Instead, use an exfoliant followed by a cleanser to clean your skin and leave it smooth, invigorated and with it's protective acid mantel in tact.

Follow this by using a toner. Toners close open pores to prevent loss of moisture, resulting in firmer skin. The last step is to use a moisturiser. Moisturisers help to hydrate your skin, prevent loss of moisture and provide nourishment and nutrients for your skin to use in fulfilling its many functions.

'Liver spots' or 'age spots'

Aging skin often develops unsightly blemishes, commonly called liver spots, which can appear on the face, neck and on the back of the hands. They are caused by the sun and accumulation of lipofuscin (pigments and/or wastes) that is derived from free radical damage of skin cells.

Liver spots, also known as lentigines or lentigos, are sharply defined, rounded, brown or black, flat patches of skin. The epidermis (top surface layer) is expanding with more pigment, developing what looks like a large freckle. They may appear as a single spot or in clusters.

Remember that your skin is an eliminatory organ and therefore it eliminates toxins from your body - one reason for liver spots is that the eliminatory organs (Kidneys, Liver and Bowels) are not working as well as they should and therefore the skin 'takes up the slack'.

Removal of these impurities can be achieved using the above described skin care regime. In addition, when showering, use a Lufa or other type of skin brush on your body's skin. This will not only remove dead skin cells, but promote blood circulation to the skin which in turn provides the skin with nutrients carried in the blood.

Green Tea is a fantastic anti-oxidant and should be consumed regularly. Leafy green vegetables, fish such as salmon and tuna, nuts and fruits contain essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants to nourish your organs and help them perform their vital functions adequately.

It is vitally important that you not only have a good skin care regime, but you should also have a good health regime, which includes a good diet, 8 -10 glasses of water per day and a regular exercise programme. This is very important and cannot be underestimated in its positive results on keeping you looking and feeling younger for longer.

Top Ten Ways to Avoid and Remove Wrinkles

by Reno Charlton

For many women, wrinkles and fine lines are the bane of their lives. Looking into the mirror and seeing a face filled with wrinkles, sagging skin, and fine lines can be very disheartening, but it's all a part of growing old, right?

Well, yes and no. Of course, our skin will age as we grow older, but in this day and age we can take steps to reduce the appearance of aging and facial wrinkles. Today, advances in knowledge and technology have made it easier to delay the signs of aging and deal with skin that already looks aged.

Part One: Prevention of facial wrinkles

The easiest way to deal with wrinkles is to keep them at bay in the first place. An anti-aging skincare routine is a must, as is a healthy lifestyle and plenty of relaxation. By taking the right precautions and educating yourself on what can cause the premature onset of facial wrinkles and crows feet you will find it far easier to keep your skin in top shape for longer. Below you will find five ways in which you can help to keep the appearance of aging at bay:

1. Establish a skincare routine: It is vital to establish a good skincare routine from an early age and stick to it. You should use a cleaner, toner and moisturizer each morning and night in order to keep your skin clean and clear as well as nourished. A good skin care routine will not only help your skin to retain moisture and elasticity, but will also help to keep it feeling fresher and more rejuvenated.

Make sure that you get rid of all traces of make-up from your face, as the harmful chemicals in some cosmetics can often damage the skin. Soap can dry out the delicate facial skin, so instead go for a cleansing bar or a foaming facial wash. Once you have cleaned your face thoroughly, use a gentle cleanser to wipe away trace of dirt, followed by a toner to refresh the skin and tighten the pores. Finally, use a suitable moisturizer (depending on your skin type) to nourish and replenish the skin.

2. Use facial massage: Facial massages are fast and simple to do at home, and can really help to keep elasticity in the skin and keep wrinkles and fine lines at bay. A facial massage can help to get the blood flow and circulation going in the facial area, which automatically stimulates the skin and helps to keep it renewed and rejuvenated. Your skin will retain far more of its natural elasticity with regular massaging, which in turn can help to slow down the signs of aging. You can carry out a ten minute massage as you moisturize each night -- simply blend the cream into the skin by using firm upward motions from the throat up. Once the cream has been absorbed into the skin, use circular motions over your face to really blend it in and to get the circulation going.

3. Protect your skin: The sun is one of the most dangerous environmental hazards when it comes to harming your skin. Not only can regular, unprotected sun exposure result in premature and severe wrinkling and cracking of skin, but it can also lead to more serious conditions such as skin cancer. Never go out into the sun without either an SPF moisturizer or a sunscreen on. If you are planning to spend hours out in the sun, then go for a suitable sunscreen; the higher the SPF (sun protection factor), the better. For everyday use, where you are simply travelling to and from work, you can opt for a moisturizer that incorporates UV protection.

Remember, the sun is at its worst during the middle of the day so you should keep yourself in the shade during these times. Also, although the sun may not be as visible during the wintertime, the rays can be just as harmful so you should take precautions all year round.

4. Assess your lifestyle: The way you live your life can affect the condition of your skin. They say that your skin reflects the way you are feeling internally, both physically and mentally. So, if you are feeling drained, tired, or stressed, your skin will also reflect this through its condition and appearance. There are a number of lifestyle changes you can make in order to help slow down the appearance of aging.

Smoking is a major culprit when it comes to the premature onset of wrinkles, and cigarettes can result in deep wrinkling of the skin. By quitting smoking (or better still, never starting!) you will be doing your skin a big favor when it comes to alleviating the worry of wrinkles. You will also be reducing the risk of developing more serious conditions related to smoking, such as cancer or heart disease.

Diet is also another important factor, and by eating the right foods (those packed with minerals and vitamins) and avoiding the wrong foods (fatty, rich foods) you can help to keep your body and your skin nourished and replenished. Most importantly, you must drink plenty of water to keep your body and your skin hydrated. Try and avoid excessive alcohol as this actually dries the skin out and will leave you and your skin looking and feeling dehydrated.

5. Enjoy some relaxation: Stress can also play a big part in the condition of your skin, and you can often find those in high-powered jobs suffering from premature wrinkling and aging because of the stress levels often involved in their work. Whatever type of job you do or however busy your life is, it is essential to get a decent night's sleep and time out to relax your body and your mind. Again, this is connected to your skin reflecting the way you feel inside. If you are feeling tired and stressed all the time, your skin will reflect this, and it won't be long before the lines and facial wrinkles start to appear. Take time out for yourself each day to relax and spend time focusing on yourself.

Part Two: Removal of facial wrinkles

Wrinkle removal procedures and products have become part of a multi-billion dollar industry. You can now select from a number of options if you are looking to diminish or reduce wrinkles, fine lines, crows feet, and deal with skin cell damage. Everybody wants to get their hands on a wrinkle cure, and in the options listed below you will find suggestions for both short and long term wrinkle removal:

6. Home remedies: Many people rely on home remedies when it comes to diminishing fine lines, wrinkles and crows feet. For example, cucumber juice can be effective in alleviating age spot skin problems. Fresh Papaya juice can remove dead and rough skin, and apple and pineapple juices can help to diminish fine lines, wrinkles and cracked skin. These home remedies can prove effective and provide a cost effective way to treat aging skin.

7. Wrinkle cream and anti-aging products: In recent years, the nation's obsession with younger looking skin has resulted in the production and marketing of many new ranges of anti-aging creams and facial products. These can be expensive, but can also prove effective for many people. Advanced technology and scientific formulations have enabled manufacturers to create skin creams and products that contain high levels of skin enhancing vitamins, such as C and E, as well as anti-oxidants. There are a number of different extracts and ingredients that can help with the elimination or reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and most anti-wrinkle creams contain a combination of these.

8. Collagen injections: Collagen can be used to fill out the skin in order to bring back normal skin and smooth out depressed wrinkles. This is done by injecting the collagen under each wrinkle in order to push it or 'fill it' outwards, so that it plumps out and becomes level with the rest of your skin.

9. Acid skin peels / chemical peels: Acid skin peels and chemical peels provide an effective - but sometimes painful - method of wrinkle removal. You can get varying levels of peel depending on the acid or chemical used in the peel. Nowadays, you can get skin-peeling products to use at home as well as those carried out in a medical setting. It is advisable to consult your doctor before you try out any skin-peeling product at home. If you plan to have a peel done in a surgical setting, a consultant or doctor can help you choose the best peel based on your needs and level of wrinkling.

10. Dermabrasion: This is a surgical procedure that can result in the moderate improvement of wrinkles and other skin problems. This procedure entails the use of a motorized buffer that removes the superficial layer of skin and brings fresher and tighter skin to the surface, thus helping to reduce existing wrinkles.

Wrinkle Treatment - Try these Simple and Effective Home Remedies for Wrinkles

by Dr James sameul

Read this Article to know the most of the Home Remedies for Wrinkles which are especially recommended by users. First we will discuss about Wrinkles.

"Want to look younger!!!" Just spare 10 minutes daily and you will turn back the clock 10 years in 15 days. The new beauty mantra that has taken most of our 40+ young women by storm is wrinkle treatment.

Ageing is a non-reversible continuous process. With time, the skin gradually loses its elasticity resulting in crow's feet, wrinkles and age spots. As one crosses the age of 30, skin becomes thinner and is unable to retain enough moisture to keep that glamorous glow.

Skin ages much more faster where there has been sun exposure, leading to wrinkles. These especially include the face, neck, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms.

Wrinkles are usually of two types - fine surface lines and deep furrows.

What causes wrinkles?

Over time, the dermis in our skin loses both collagen (protein) and elastin (fibres that provide elasticity to skin), so the skin gets thinner and has trouble getting enough moisture to the epidermis. The fat in the subcutaneous layer that gives skin a fleshy appearance also begins to disappear, the epidermis starts to sag, and wrinkles form.

Factors that promote formation of wrinkles include:

1) Smoking and alcoholism

2) Light skinned people, as they are more prone to sun damage.

3) Heredity

4) Clothing - the lesser the sun exposure, the lesser probability of wrinkling. (caps, long sleeves etc.)

5) Occupation - outdoor profession leads to early wrinkles

Wrinkle treatment -

The good news is that early prevention and treatment can keep wrinkles at bay. Anti-ageing skin care has become a multi-million dollar industry. A new hybrid word "cosmeceutical" has entered our vocabulary (cosmetic + pharmaceutical).

Choice of treatment depends on factors such as age, location of wrinkle and individual tolerance of side-effects.

1. The easiest way to avoid wrinkles is to limit exposure to sun. Apply a sunscreen with 15 SPF (sun protection factor) or higher, while going out to block harmful UV rays from damaging your skin.

2. Drink plenty of water to keep skin hydrated. Moisturize dry skin, especially during months when the air is drier.

3. Easy availability of over the counter anti-wrinkle and anti-ageing creams, moisturizers, cellulite creams. Where on one hand, their cosmetic properties are used for beautifying; the medicinal properties include curing, treating and prevention.

4. Cosmetic surgery has made an inroad into wrinkle treatment. A word of caution here - any type of cosmetic surgery whether its botox injections or chemical peels must be performed only by a professional.

5. Low energy plasma skin regeneration treatment. The energy stimulates new skin growth in the targeted area and can be used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or superficial skin lesions.

Our skin undergoes continuous erosion with age, so it would be highly unrealistic to expect permanent wrinkle treatment. These treatments are not tailor made as per individual needs, but the right therapy should be arrived at, only after consultation with a professional surgeon. Many people require repeated treatments or at times combination of treatments.

Do anti-wrinkle creams actually work?

Most anti-wrinkle creams are enriched with potent anti-oxidant and a variety of vitamins in order to induce skin cell reproduction and supply the reduced collagen.

We have many anti-ageing creams from Loreal, Garnier etc. easily available in the market. Regular massaging with these creams gradually tightens the skin tissue by increasing blood circulation. However, it is important to have realistic expectations from any sort of treatment.

Cosmetic surgery and wrinkles -

The year 2002 onwards started the Botox craze, but Protox wrinkle treatment is the buzzword today (yet to get approval in India). Its ad punch line is "no needles, no surgery, no acid peels, just a great product to reduce wrinkles at a reasonable cost".

Botox, which is called lunchtime treatment in U.S., has got regulatory approval and is promoted widely in India. Not an OTC drug, it features in the top 5 minimal invasive procedures to remove wrinkles. Cost of treatment varies between Rs. 5000 to Rs. 8000 depending on the area being treated.

Collagen injections, although in use for the last 2 decades, have a temporary effect of 3-4 months. Bovine collagen is injected to fill the wrinkles and reduce their visibility. Facial creases around forehead, chin and cheek react well to this treatment.

Other surgical procedures include microdermabrasion, glycolic acid peels, surgical facelifts, laser resurfacing. Studies show that results for these cosmetic treatments are not long lasting and do not carry much risk.

Home Remedies for Wrinkles

1) Apply a mashed ripe banana on your face regularly to tighten your skin.

2) Regular facial is quite effective in controlling wrinkles. This is so because massage increases blood circulation and tightens the muscles and tissues.

3) Puncture 3 capsules of vitamin E. Add to it 2 teaspoons of plain yogurt, 1/2 teaspoon honey and 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice. Apply to face. Leave on skin for about 10 minutes and rinse. This is useful and effective Home Remedies for Wrinkles.

4) Age spots can become fainter by applying lemon juice a few times a day.

5) Apply a paste of turmeric powder with sugarcane juice to remove wrinkles and to prevent skin ageing. This is another effective Home Remedies for Wrinkles

6) To prevent wrinkles, apply pure and odourless castor oil.

If you are looking for a complete Cinderella transformation, you probably will not find it in any cream or treatment. There can only be improvements but not total cure. So the one and only treatment is, combine a healthy lifestyle with healthy diet from the start for achieving a younger looking face

Professional Skin Care Look

by John Russell

Professional Skin Care Look

When you walk in a room, have people notice your Beauty not your make-up!

The place to start for skin care that looks professional is clear healthy skin, it's a must. Whereas many women simply wash their face, cleansing the skin is important to the final finish. To effectively cleanse the skin, NEVER, EVER use soap off the shelf of the drugstore or grocery mart. A professional cleansing product that is specifically developed for your skin type is mandatory. World-class products, supplied by IH Distribution, include Cleansing Cream for dry skin, Cleansing Lotion for oily skin, hydrating wash with anti-aging properties for mature skin. More information about these products can be obtained from www.ihdistribution.com. Next, NEVER scrub your face with a washcloth, always use the fingertips. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

A critical step often missed is the use of a toner or freshener, which is also directly tailored to your skin type; this is important because it will remove any remaining oil, debris, or remnants the cleanser left behind. Then, using the proper moisturizer (again, tailored to your skin type) is paramount.

The foundation used is vitally important because where eye shadow, blush and lipstick may accent your facial features; the foundation sets the tone for a woman's visual appearance. Find a shade that disappears into your skin, which will be the correct shade for your complexion. IH Distribution has 15 different shades for which one perfectly matches everyone's skin. The About Face Line Defiance Makeup is SPF8, which smoothes the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The new line of liquid makeup is blended with vitamins A & E to protect against the invisible enemy - Time.

When using a blush to accent facial features, use a slightly darker shade to provide a contour to your face and provide cheekbones that "lift" from your face. Start at the earlobe down towards the cheek so a "glob" isn't left on the cheek. Use a blush that is lighter in color to bring out the highlights.

Eye makeup - use shadows to effectively reflect your moods! Take time to practice and you can apply eye shadow accurately and easily. Keep in mind that light colors highlight features and dark colors diminish. Use either 2 or 3 different shades, start with the lightest first on the entire eye lid, medium lower only and the darkest on the outer corner which provides a perception of depth.

Eyeliner should be applied with short strokes and remember to start at the center and work outside to the corners.

To complete the look and the mood, quality mascara finishes your eye make-up --- with dark eyes use navy, black, or dark brown.

Nail color - Use a polish that compliments the overall tones of your make-up. For example, if you were using natural shades on your lips and cheeks, stay with a natural color for nails.

Finally, lip color adds the striking appearance that makes a woman stand out and appear desirable. A professional skin care tip is to try to use a lip pencil to outline the lips prior to lipstick application; it's a personal thing but very defining on some women. Also, try a small brush from tube lipstick to help define the contours of the mouth but, more importantly, really control the amount of color that's applied. Another professional skin care tip is to lightly apply powder over the lips before applying the lipstick which helps it stay on longer. For effective lipstick stain removal, apply a dab of glycerin and wash as usual.

Check IH Distribution's 10 About Face Lip Pencils and 28 About Face Lipsticks. Virtually a rainbow of colors, one is sure to fit and shade your lips with beautiful color, moistures, and antioxidant protection. Favorite colors are Mysterious, Smolder, Whisper, and Celebrity. The products are available online at www.ihdistribution.com.

Skin Care: No pimples-No marks-No wrinkles and No aging!

by Pnk Guru

Skin Care: No pimples-No marks-No wrinkles and No aging!

Skin is a Rose like!

When you have born, you were soft, smooth and silky like rose petals. And when you grow, sometimes you may feel after a period of say 30 years or so, your skin turns into some thorns closer to the rose flowers.

Your skin sometimes gets roughened due to exposure to Sunlight, polluted air, dry wind, hot and cold weather, rain and chemically polluted water. The skin loses moisture and oils and becomes dry. The pores of oil glands also get blocked by the dusts and dirt. The place of oil glands harbors fungi and bacteria and allows them to grow into scales.

Turns Thorny needs removal!

White and black heads emerge allowing more of dandruffs, dead cells accumulation on the skin. These will turn into pimples, acnes, psoriasis presenting a shabby skin show on the face, neck, head and scalp. When it spreads, it may form eczema down the neck any where on the body surface and on the hands and legs. You will understand that this is undoubtedly right time to take care of the skin, a natural coat to the entire body.

Skin Care is a routine happy affair! However, skin care starts right from the day of the child's birth. Application of mild soap, baby oil, cold cream, sandal and turmeric powders etc protects a baby in her earlier days. But, skin care needs to be taken more scientifically in the growth period or when found the skin is affected.

Removal of dandruff, cleaning and toning up the skin, exfoliating and moisturizing the skin are the regular process in a skin care, if the skin is found to be infected. This is a simple routine work for a beautiful woman to maintain her modesty.

1. Cleansing the Skin:

Cleansing is quite indispensable to avoid pimples, acnes and other skin problems. Wash your skin time and again using a mild face wash and wipe off with a clean wash cloth. It is quite essential to get rid of any impurities such as dirt particles and makeup residues before going to sleep so that your skin can breathe properly at night. Use mild cleanser at least twice a day; make sure that it rinses away easily; cause no skin irritation and do not wash away natural body oils too.

2. Toning the Skin:

Toners clean the skin further and help in removing any leftovers of particle on the skin. But a toner cools, nourishes, hydrates and freshens up your skin. It tightens up skin and seal up any skin pores opened while deep cleansing the face. Toners must be alcohol-free as they dry off the skin.

3. Exfoliating the Skin

Exfoliants get rid of dead cells from the skin, rejuvenate the skin and remove fine lines and wrinkles from the face. After exfoliation, the younger skin that surfaces looks more beautiful and glowing. These products usually have alpha or beta hydroxyl-acids to quicken up the process. But, do avoid the ones that are granular as they tend to damage the new skin.

4. Moisturizing the Skin

Like our inner body, our outer skin also needs re-hydration and intake of proper nutrients to keep it healthy. So, treat it with a good moisturizer and a night cream daily that helps the skin to balance and restore any damage that might have occurred.

Do you want a single cream that acts as a Skin Cleanser and Toner cum Exfoliant and Moisturizer?

Now, it is made thus and available in a single product form in skin care industry. If you start using the miracle cream when you feel so, it is right time and right choice as a single product. Just keep it with you at your bed side. It is an insurance against all odds in skin care.

Natural Wrinkle Prevention and Treatment

by Geoff Hopkins

Are you like me? If you've recently entered your 30s, you've probably started to see some fine lines or crepeing when you look in the mirror at that unrecognizable stranger. Make her go away for good by purchasing an anti-wrinkle cream. If you are wondering what features you should look for in a cream, continue reading -- we'll cover the top five ingredients in the ideal wrinkle cream.

1. Antioxidants: this word is constantly thrown around, but what does it really mean? It turns out that antioxidants are molecules that can help slow the aging process and improve the health of your entire body by helping to mitigate against the oxidation (decomposition) of your cells. Some antioxidants that are important in anti-wrinkle creams are Vitamin E and Vitamin C.

2. Mineral salts: it's a no-brainer that it is necessary to supply our bodies with vitamins and minerals by eating healthy, nutrient-rich foods. Likewise, it is also a no-brainer that we should "feed" our skin these exact same minerals and vitamins. We can do this by purchasing creams with plenty of dissolved metals like zinc, copper, and iron.

3. Zirconium phosphate: this is a brand new dermatological compound that comes from precious gemstones. A recent study has shown that we can use this zirconium phosphate to help turn around the decay of our telemeres. If you are wondering what a telemere is, it is a special substance that exists within our genetics; unfortunately, over time, it can degrade. The best wrinkle creams work by decreasing this telemere degradation, a sure way to feel and look far younger than we are.

4. White tea extract: you've probably not heard of it, but it has long been known by dermatologists that an extract from green tea helps skin stay moist, which results in soft, supple, healthy skin. Dermatologists recently figured out that these exact same glucosomine compounds that make green tea work its magic can exist in white tea in as much as fifty times the quantity.

5. Saffron butter: this little known compound, filled with golden racemes, can improve the good job you're already doing trying to protect your skin from the damaging rays of the sun. You probably already cover your body with sunscreen multiple times every day, but with saffron butter, you can actually increase the power and life of your sunscreen. In addition, golden racemes give your skin a slight golden hue, resembling a great tan!

6. Oatmeal: humble oatmeal is one of our top natural compounds, believe it or not. That's because oatmeal contains compounds that trap moisture in the skin, leaving it less likely to dry out. It's an added bonus that oatmeal tends to be an anti-inflammatory, reducing the low-level irritation that tends to damage your delicate skin and make it wrinkle.

The ideal wrinkle cream will benefit people first entering their early 30s, as well as more mature people who are dealing with more severe problems with wrinkles and crepeing. Remember that the selection of the perfect cream for your skin is simple, if you just look for 100 percent natural components. Soon, you'll be sure to start seeing results and have the luminsescent, healthy skin you desire.

Simple ways to avoid wrinkles

by Janet Martin

Every year, Americans spend over $12 billion on cosmetics and another $20 billion on plastic surgery to hide the signs of aging. But the effects of most of these expensive creams and procedures are temporary and many have undesirable side effects.

While nothing can stop wrinkles that are a normal part of aging, you can slow down the process by following these simple measures. To preserve your youthful glow without emptying your wallet, here are some tips courtesy of Dermaxin, the safe and inexpensive alternative to costly cosmetic procedures:

Avoid the sun. The Earth's depleted ozone layer allows more of the sun's harmful rays to destroy your skin. If you don't want to look like a shriveled raisin or prune, stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This is the time when 95 percent of the sun's wrinkling rays reach the Earth. Avoid reflective surfaces like water, snow, sand, concrete, and other light-colored areas that intensify the sun's rays.

Splurge on sunscreen. Don't be stingy when putting sunscreen on your skin. It's your best friend under the sun. But choose your friends carefully. Pick one with a high sun protection factor (SPF) that blocks both UVA and UVB rays. Apply a generous amount 30 minutes before going out and reapply after swimming.

Accessorize. In addition to sunscreen, wear a wide-brimmed hat and a good pair of sunglasses. This will prevent your from squinting and getting crow's feet. The right clothes can also protect you from the sun.

"People should look for loosely-fitted, unbleached, tightly woven fabrics. The tighter the weave, the more protective the garment. Washing clothes over and over improves UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) by drawing fabrics together during shrinkage. An easy way to assess protection is simply to hold the garment up to a window or lamp and see how much light comes through. The less the better," according to TanSome.com.

Stop clowning around. Putting on a funny face can be good for a few laughs and will probably make you the life of the party. But repeated facial expressions like smiling, frowning, squinting or puckering your lips will give you more wrinkles and aggravate existing ones. Stop imitating Jim Carrey unless you're being paid good money to do so!

"How do you know if you're scrunching your face? Look at yourself in a mirror as you're chatting on the telephone. Or try wearing a piece of cellophane tape over your forehead (just around the house, of course). Every time you furrow your brow, you'll feel the tape start to crinkle," said the editors of "The Doctors Book of Home Remedies."

Maintain a healthy weight. Losing and gaining weight repeatedly stretches your skin. As you age, the skin becomes less elastic and fails to retract to its original size. This leads to wrinkles. Stop yo-yo dieting. Better still, keep off excess weight permanently with the right food and a good exercise program.
